The compassionate Lord Jagannatha, along with his brother Balaram and sister Subhadra,makes an annual visit from his temple in Puri to visit his aunt's home (Mashir Bari) on his splendid Chariot with pomp and grandeur. The chariot's path is lined with throngs of devotees rejoicing in his presence and singing praises of devotion, while some devotees take on the task of charioteers by pulling the chariot.
The air is filled with chants of "Jai Jagannath" & the poetic verses of Dahuka (Charioteer) Boli , traditional chants by the chariot pullers.
